Hey, I’ve been setting up my laptop to use with endeavour for school.
But since today it’s crashing between a few minutes and half an hour after boot (estimates).
The monitor is freezing at that time and there are black rectangles - the only thing i can do after that is hard rebooting (holding the power button).
I do suspect hardware issues (old laptop) but still hope it is fixable.
Can someone help me find out what exactly might be the issue?
A lot of the pastebins are common targets for such things .. the likelihood they are blocked seems to just increase with their popularity.
These days hblock also blocks 0x0 by default .. as do a number of VPNs on their ‘anti-malware’ side if provided.
This is all related to the idea that script-kiddies can leverage them for deploying their malicious code.
But like .. that can happen in infinite ways (from github gists to self-hosted to..), so I think its a bit silly. Then again if you dont use them then I guess there wouldnt be much harm in blocking them.
But I use those kinds of things a pretty good amount so its a tad annoying.
I realized the crash happens every time i tap the laptop a little harder and i can avoid the crashes with setting envycontrol to integrated only. So i guess the problem is with the Nvidia GPU/its connection.
