I’ve been utilizing the combination of GIMP and Krita for just about all my wallpapers. It seems to be working quite well.
Yer they are what I use though I use GIMP a lot more than Krita

SAMPLE:
- Using Krita and GIMP, I went a different route this time. Technically a move away from the space theme. Though I did add more to the star field and accentuated the stars as a gentle reminder of space. As per usual, various image manipulations, filters, and color palettes.
