🎨 UncleSpellbinder's EOS Wallpapers

@UncleSpellbinder : I like your wallpapers. But I am wondering if you have the license situation in mind when you use other peoples photos or drawings. Altering those graphics files and distributing them as wallpapers certainly needs a permission unless the original files are free to use.

Nearly all are taken from royalty-free image sites or from other image/wallpaper sites where the description says “free to use” or something similar. Some images were found via image searches and have no description at all and reverse image search brings up nothing. I’ve also used space images from NASA. With the exception of the sci-fi TV wallpapers I’ve made (Star Trek, Dr. Who and such), I think I’m good.

EDIT:

I’ve been making and sharing wallpapers for years. Long before I ever started sharing here. I’ve never had a take-down request.

U do a great work. Wonderful pictures that you share with us. My deepest thanx UncleSpellbinder.

Could you mix your wallpapers in this fashion?!!

Do you mean as video with the text etc?

That’s what I was guessing. But he’s not clear at all as to what he means.

Just like robots, one instruction at the time: Make an intro video for EOS live installation or live startup to welcome users in multiple languages, with a space theme … bla bla bla … essentially Uncle’s wallpapers as fade-in slides and all sorts of welcomes in all sorts of langauges etc. Hand the instruction over to, say, your video AI generator, a list of welcomes in multiple languages, where English is not the first to show, or German, but say, Hindi or Japanese. GET IT? … IT’S THE VIDEO YOU ALREADY SEE (I mean the video even has the same color schemes, why is the association so hard to form?!), but different for EOS and using a different background! Jesus.

No need to be so rude mate, seriously it was unclear what you meant.

The only thing you said in that post was…

How the hell was anyone supposed to know you meant “Make an intro video for EOS live installation or live startup to welcome users in multiple languages, with a space theme”???

I think it would have been more clear as to what you wanted had you simply just stated “Hey can you make an intro Video to EndeavourOS with your wallpapers?” would have been much clearer to understand what your end goal is than

I don’t believe anyone means any disrepect to anyone it is just a communication breakdown

Looks surprisingly similar to a scene from the opening credits of Star Trek Strange New Worlds. Very nice!

That’s exactly where I got it. Via a screen grab. :vulcan_salute:
