Unable to access external encrypted disk

I’m trying to access an external disk, hereby /dev/sda, that has been formatted using another laptop. I click on any of the partitions listed under Devices, type in the password, and get the message shown in the picture: “error storing passphrase in keyring”. Any troubleshooting suggestion?

Try unlocking it the cryptsetup command.

This works:

$ sudo cryptsetup luksOpen /dev/sda1 sda1

But from my other laptop it’s enough to type in the pwd from Thunar… Not a big deal.

Actually the error message turns out to be misleading. Just click on the device after the message, and Thunar will display its contents just fine.
