I’m waiting on the latest Beta version for another UEFI update on my MSI motherboard. This is the 11th since it first came out. This update has another new AGESA and I think it is to support the new AMD 5000 series processors coming out!

I can maybe see a 5900X or 5950X in my future with the MSI B550 Motherboard sitting on the shelf! Anyone else keeping up? with the updates i mean! 
The only one with Default TDP / TDP at 65W is the Ryzen 5 5600X…
My current 3800X is 105W and i don’t have any issue. The 3700X is also 65W
The issue is that it’s consuming a lot !
The day they could give you more speed with less power energy you could call it a progress.
For now they couldn’t.
Yep the 3700X is the best choice…
Unfortunately all of the processors above the 3700X consume more power. So the 5600X would be the choice i guess if you want to keep it down. I might go with that one on this B550 board.
Edit: The current price on the Ryzen 7 3700X is $429 cdn on sale. Not sure where the pricing will be on the 5600X Probably $479-499 or more when it first launches.
Yup - completely uninfluenced by the fact that I have a 3700x here! I went with the lower tdp as well - it is bad enough I can’t justify THAT much power for what I do…
The new 5600X is slightly higher base clock speed @ 3.7 Ghz and up to 4.6 Ghz

Ryzen 3700X = 279€
Ryzen 5600X = 306€
There is no reason to change for the 5600X when you have the 3700X 
And there is no reason to buy the 5600X cause 3700X is even better for less expensive 
You’re right the difference is negligible so the 3700X is better value.
Okay so now then i wait and maybe when the 5600X is launched soon the price on the 3700X may drop.

Yes…expensive!
The same Ryzen 9 3900X would go down for now at 429,00€
