I think the more important issue being discussed here is the Importance of a Plan.
Regardless of what your plan is, its always important to have knowledge of the tools you will need to trouble shoot. During a Time of Crisis is not that time. I think its important to take the time to learn the appropriate use of those tools. Take time to learn where the logs are, Take time to know which program is best for diagnosing the problem. Be prepared for both Software and Hardware failures.
Knowing the tools will make the job of finding and fixing your issue’s much easier during that time of crisis. The thing I think is important is to make sure you have a plan and know how to actually execute it.
always helpful as usual @UncleSpellbinder you always have useful information. fingers crossed hopefully i don’t need to use this but now i am prepared.
oh since we are on the topic of troubleshooting i got timeshift installed but it usually doesn’t help when things go south. it usually fails to shift back in time for whatever reason but i still got it just incase it could help me.
