Tldr: try entering the wrong password if you can connect to wifi, but not “authenticate” password.
Hi everyone.
I have my other (android) devices connected with no problem. I was able to get it connected last night after trying this:
sudo pacman -S linux-firmware (from another thread here)
But today I went to put something on fullscreen. The screen went black and I was forced to reboot. And lost my internet connection. The above trick did nothing.
I have assignments that I need to work on while I am traveling the next week or so and I need to get this running, or install another OS.
Thank you for reading.
*EDIT-
Self resolved as soon as I posted so I will add this:
I am new to Endeavour OS (Nov 2024) but I have been using Linux since July 2021- I bought a Raspberry Pi after flunking out of a bootcamp LOL
This black screen upon fullscreen is the main reason I am contemplating moving on. And the unreliably connecting to any wifi that isn’t my house is another. That being said, it has it’s quirks but I really am a fan.
What eventually got it working
It was connecting to the wifi but wasn’t authenticating the password. I purposely entered the wrong pw. Once that message popped up I entered the correct one and it worked.
Which now that I think about it, I think that is what worked yesterday.
