As you can see from the screenshot, its icon is too big. I can’t find a option to adjust it, did anyone else got to fix this error?

Right-click on Places, in drop-down menu you can select icon size.

@wordler solution is the simplest and works.
If you need more fine tuning you can also go to Dolphin Preferences > View modes and change the Preview Icon Sizes.
