This is probably OK given the age of the CPU but the GPUs were tied to the chipset back then I think.

Solved my brightness issue by installing brightnessctl from the arch repos. btw thanks for the help regarding what to do with intel package @dalto
Because you are already usiing the modesetting driver.
Just got a new update on mesa, all VMs are working here now.
It’s a bit of a late response but the weekend got complicated. The modesetting driver fixed my issue and got me booted into the system.
Although removing it changed how lightDM handles my second monitor. But I’ll make a different thread if I don’t get that sorted out.
