Title: GParted 1.7.0 GUI freezes on launch in EndeavourOS

Hello,

I’m experiencing an issue with GParted on EndeavourOS. Whenever I try to open it, the GUI freezes and becomes unresponsive. Terminal output shows:

sudo gparted
GParted 1.7.0
configuration --enable-libparted-dmraid
libparted 3.6

I’ve tried the following steps without success:

  • Reinstalled GParted (sudo pacman -S gparted)

  • Tried (GDK_BACKEND=x11 sudo gparted)

  • Installed xorg-xhost

    System:
    Kernel: 6.12.53-1-lts arch: x86_64 bits: 64 compiler: gcc v: 15.2.1
    Desktop: GNOME v: 49.1 tk: GTK v: 3.24.51 wm: gnome-shell dm: GDM
    Distro: EndeavourOS base: Arch Linux

On a fully updated GNOMEARCH, gparted is working fine on my end.

Also, fwiw, you don’t need sudo to launch gparted. It uses polkit to get elevated privilege. Perhaps unrelated to your issue but I just wanted to mention it.

I tried after updating everything,
It’s working half the time.
Other times it’s getting stuck on the start as in the image

Just wanted to know why, and if I did mess up something
