This week in Plasma

The latest blog detailing the changes in KDE has been published. Some notable changes are

  • some labels in the Task Manager widget’s tooltips to become multi-line instead of eliding.
  • A lot of KWIN bug fixes
  • the “Global Shortcuts” KRunner plugin by default. So now the META+W or Super+W or Windows+W key combination should work
  • And many more

It may seem strange but whenever I see these blog posts about bug fixes my (sincere/unironic) reaction is “what bugs?”

In my experience, KDE hasn’t had any noticeable bugs since 6.1.

Usually they are on very specific hardware, or after carrying out an equally specific sequence of actions. I think it’s great that they can track them down like they do.

That, or they’re so small I don’t notice them!
