I re-installed EOS with Plasma instead of MATE. It’s all worked fine, once I changed the kernel parameters to resolve the issues I had.
Now, when I restart the computer, the primary screen doesn’t show anymore the wallpaper, as the screenshot show.
When I click on the primary screen with the right button, I don’t see any contextual menu.
How do I fix these issues?
When I installed EOS, I choose to use the NVIDIA drivers.
This is the output of inxi -Ga
.

When I change the primary screen and change it back, all returns to normality.
In Display and Monitor > Display Configuration , on Save displays’ properties , I selected For any display arrangement .
Before these issues started, I haven’t changed the display settings nor the graphics drivers.
When I change the primary screen (without changing it back), inxi -Ga
shows the following output.

For what I can see, between the last and the first output of inxi -Ga
the difference is Screen-1 s-size
which passed from 39.61x11.85" to 42.13x11.85". That doesn’t explain the issues I have, although I find this change strange.
I found out two posts that explain what could happen.
From the first post, I learned that the settings are saved in files when Plasma closes. That explains why the settings were changed but not kept when I rebooted.
From the second post, I learned that .config/plas,a-org.kde.plasma.desktop-appletsrc
contains also settings for the right-click context menu.
Since I don’t have that issue anymore. I take that configuration file got corrupted. When I changed the primary screen, I forced Plasma to write that configuration file. The first time I did that, Plasma could have “crashed” before writing the configuration file.
It also seems that having two monitor of the same brand and model confuses Plasma. I connected a different monitor and these issues are vanished (for now).
