I did not notice any changes on my archlinux testing and recent updates. It simply worked
Yeah, from an user’s perspective all that changes is the install time of packages should be improved, although not download speed. They say that package size went up 0.8% total on their repos but unpacking speed increased with 1300% (which is… a lot.)
