Terrible microphone noise/static

Good day everyone. I have been using Endeavour for quite a while now. Recently, I reinstalled the system and now I’m experiencing issues with the microphone. As soon as I activate it, there’s deafening static roaring. It does however capture sound, it just drowns in the general roar. I’m using PulseAudio (on PipeWire 0.3.71). I’ve tried several fixes, nothing seems to work. It also happens no matter what microphone I’m using, except sometimes the noise is a bit louder than others.

Not sure about specific setup / level / threshold of your mic and system and if you has a nice mic or not, so that you should figure out by yourself i guess.

To annihilate background noise you can use NoiseTorch

As I already said, using other microphones doesn’t really change anything.
I don’t think the “noise” that appears is real background noise, since it doesn’t matter where I am, what mic I use etc. I’m already using NoiseTorch.
