Taskbar icons are constantly grabbed

Hello,

I am relatively new to EndeavorOS. While I have been using it for about a year now, I have not been trying out some of the features or getting to now the OS a bit better.
I am basically just using it out of the box with KDE Plasma (X11, because I am using the discord stream feature a lot which does not work under wayland at the moment, or at least not without a lot of work).

However, ever since my first install on my notebook, as well as on my PC, and now again on my new fresh install of EndeavourOS with KDE Plasma I have this weird bug that after some time or even directly after booting, the mouse is constanly grabbing the icons on the taskbar.
And only the task bar.
I cant select anything on the task bar or even use the DE right because each and everytime i even slightly come close to the area of the taskbar it grabs an application icon and drags it along.
I can’t find anything about something like that, and what I have found is just about how people do not like drag and drop of the icons in general, or accidently dragged them a few times and want to disable it.

I am slowly going mad about it.
And as silly as this sounds, its so bad that it’s starting to become unusable if i have more than 3 or 4 different apps open or even want to open the menu!

Could someone please help?
Is there a way to disable drag and drop of taskbar items completely?
Or at least a way to find out what causes my DE to behave like this?
And no, its not because of the touchpad or mouse.
It happenes with every mouse I had and even on my PC. A completely seperate machine.

Thanks in advance.

a (little) known known, as it were: https://www.reddit.com/r/kde/comments/113ddam/mouse_grabbing_things/
https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=298534 --no one at arch responded to this person–they claimed the cursor grabbed their icons and danced around with them. bizarre.

I hope someone can find some more info.

10 minutes of hunting…I don’t see much. I usually get the weird ones, too.
I wonder upstream at KDE it exists?

Sorry for responding this late.
I had a lot of stuff to do.

I still could not figure it out, had to restart a minute ago, again, because it happened. Somehow it happened while i was sliding the cursor diagonal to the icons.
maybe the pressure was so light that the touchpad button switched states too fast?
i don’t know, i am justt grabbin stuff out of the air at this point.

also i remembered, my touchpad only has one button, left and right click is differentiated between the fingerposition.
but since i have the same problem literally on my pc at home too that could not be it.

It is driving me mad. I really love KDE Plasma but having to restart every hour is not worth it.

I will install a different DE.

I’m really shocked no one here ever heard of it or figured this out. The problem is it happens to so few, though. But it’s chronicled. It has to be the case of side effects: programs that don’t coexist well perhaps. Maybe buried in systemd,
Glad you are staying with Endeavour. I recommend Cinnamon or Budgie for beauty and simplicity. but I’m a gnome stack-derivative guy. Openbox, too.
