sometimes i update my system and the system ask me to replace one package with another.
it looks like this:
replace package xyz with core/yxz Y/n
my question is, what do you recommend me to do in this cases?
in the last years i alway choose Yes and change the packages, but i don’t know it is the right way or not.
It is almost always the case you must accept the replacement to proceed with the update. If you are only using the official repos and AUR then it will nearly always be safe to accept the replacement.
If you are using 3rd party repos you need to be more careful.
