It was a couple of years ago now. They still support TrueNAS Core which is FreeBSD-based but all new features/development have shifted to Scale.
I have done it for many years now. My servers were a mix of FreeBSD and OpenBSD many years ago. At some point I switched to Linux. I just don’t want to deal with it anymore.
