Switching from windows: is my hardware really usable with endeavouros?

I have to admit that I do not fully understand you response.
I plan to install endevourOs on my laptop → only one disk. My idea is to avoid dual boot so I’m going to install only one operating system and let the install suggest the best partition scheme.
My knowlege about /boot/efi secureboot, etc is close to zero so I hope the that the installer will provide a sensible default

Hi Giovanni,

I was reading through your post and noticed you have been using Ubuntu. Did you have your Dell dual booted with Ubuntu?

Additionally, as your jumping in withboth feet I noticed you are considering KDE which had a major change.I too have used KDE. But my daily driver is on Gnome because KDE is still in heavy development IMHO. This video may be of use:

On a side note, I do dual boot with Windows. But at this point I use Windows once a year at tax time.

thanks, to be honest at the moment I have no real preferences between Gnome and KDE, actually my main driver is the one that is easier to setup and use with wayland.
After watching the video I think Gnome may ba a better choice, I’ll try to get more info on this topic.

No the last time I tried I installed only ubuntu on my pc

When I moved from Windows to Linux the applications were really the focus (that I could do all my work, and then use more and participate in open source solutions). I wanted to give back to projects and users who wanted to choose their experience.

I’m also not pro any desktop. Gnomes the daily driver, but I do play around with KDE and some Hypraland so i can see how people could use their systems. Understand what workflows work best for me. Maybe through my learning, write a feature request.

Main thing we all want, is for you to be successful. Continue your journey (like many of us here).
