Drop down terminals are hard to achieve in tiling wm. I will give a try thought. Thank you for the idea!
Alacritty is now “supported” by EOS apps, meaning it works on x86_64, and @OdiousImp tested it on ARM (if I’m not mistaken). Is there still an issue with it?
No.
It doesn’t work on ARM…sorry @manuel! We made you go through all that! But it’s just easier to use a terminal that works in both so we wouldn’t need two config files.
OK. I thought you tested it in ARM but apparently you didn’t.
That means other options need to be used on ARM.
I don’t have a ARM device to test…
Could we not just use another terminal for both…That’s already supported…
I realize that would mean I made you add alacrity for no apparent reason…I rushed sorry, i naturally assumed it would work on ARM too…
Yeah, let’s use the terminals that work. Nothing against it.
It will most likely be termite (which is already supported right?). @Shjim termite works fine? I can copy and paste. Can you not?
@OdiousImp
I still no copy paste on mouse . No problem if use keyboard on termite.
No forget I use 32bit on Pi4 8Gb , 64bit has usb problem on 8Gb model
That’s weird
. Perhaps @Elloquin could see he had the same problem?
I can’t add transpency to termite currently…not sure if that’s a massive problem but just saying
I can . I post the config in 10 minute
I on mobile atm

I no use transparency . no big problem for me
Give me a bit. I am going to install on the work computer. I’ll take a look.
Thank You! Your so helpful
Thank You! If Termite doesn’t do copy and paste for @Pudge too then we will use xfce4-teminal. It might be something to with ARM…
i confirm alacritty work on Pinebookpro Arm … i no test on sway
PBP is my day carry it only run i3 …
edit PBP it 64 bit it run Vanilla Arch . if i have spare sd card i try sway later

i no see mouse support for copy+ paste … pls see if you find
i read on web about a patch. sad i no find yet
Termite starts in insert mode by default. Text may be selected using the mouse
Ctrl+Shift+cis used to copy selected text to the X clipboard,Ctrl+Shift+vto paste.
Install xclip and try again? That may be the problem
keyboard copy paste work fine … pointless use keyboard to copy and use mouse to paste !!! that insane 5555555 if that what you want me try?
Yeah…It says
Hmmm…Weird problem
yes… that work
no mouse right click for box with options (copy +more ) it look only normal terminal keyboard shortcuts for copy+paste ( i use anyway
) i ok with it ! sad new user might no like that no mouse support
Ohhhh…I understand the problem. Not many terminals have that option right…I see only XFCE4-Terminal have it.
I think we have xfce4 and temrite. Is that ok??
