Yay! I’ve left both lines. Rebooted and used a Timeshift snapshot without any problems. No errors to speak of, and swap functions properly. Thanks a lot for your help, and consider your fan club to have increased in members.
I hope this remains clear for anybody else who may have the same problem in the future.
