State of hardware / system information on Linux

Sometimes i just love to inspect different aspects of hardware in systems…

One would assume to have accurate system information, but user nobody would lay it better than devs of dmidecode in it’s man:

BUGS
More often than not, information contained in the DMI tables is inaccurate, incomplete or simply wrong.

P.S. HONK-HONK

At that point, you may as well replace your parser with an RNG and call it good (with a few bugs).

Yeah, good point…Why bother
Maybe to cultivate rare breed of bugs :bug: :bug: :bug: :bug: :bug: :bug: :bug:

What about lshw (to be run as Superuser)?
Always preferred this one to dmidecode.

To be honest i always thought for some reason that it’s based on dmidecode, well not entirely…

lshw -disable dmi
