Sound settings aren't saved thru sessions (pavucontrol)

Hey

So I choose my sound devices (inputs and outputs) and their volumes (and/or activate/deactivate them) using pavucontrol and those settings never get recalled, they are reset on each boot (except for the main output line!).

Is this normal behavior ? (…and is there a way around to make the audio settings persistent after reboot then?)

Cheers !

I would first try clearing your local pipewire/pavucontrol cache, then reboot.

rm -rv ~/.local/state/pipewire/media-session.d
rm -v ~/.config/pavucontrol.ini

So, that’s what I just did, I even did
rm -rv ~/.config/pipewire/media-session.d/
and rebooted, but it’s the same behavior, the modifications are lost :frowning:

Hmm, what if you do this?
alsactl store

Same same even after alsactl store :frowning:

Thanks a lot for your help btw!

Just a thought: if you run pavucontrol in a terminal and make your changes and close the app, will it output some info in the terminal?
