[solved] Welcome app not able to be turned off

Same bug as in april, seems to have happened after the latest update of the app; it no longer responds to the turn off button.

Can’t find a version number on it anywhere but it came with the net install at 18:00 CET today… So… pretty new.

eos-welcome --disable

works.

The version number is displayed in the title bar - which I guess doesn’t help if you don’t run one? Maybe we should bug @manuel to add an About for that case? :grin: Or, of course, to add it into the Help button with a variable… Anyway - he will probably notice this thread now that his name was invoked, so some solution will be forthcoming I expect…

This really was a bug in the latest update, but should be fixed now in eos-bash-shared version 1.5.12-1. It should arrive at the mirror near you soon!

I haven’t experienced this yet. A useful app, I don’t think it’s worth turning it off.
