[SOLVED] Proton fails to build

I wasn’t sure which section of the forum to post this, so…

Included in my updates after work this evening was proton. The build fails. Obviosly related to glib-2.0 Here’s the failure output…

src-gstreamer/gst/meson.build:221:18: ERROR: Dependency 'glib-2.0' tool variable 'glib_mkenums' contains erroneous value: '/usr/bin/glib-mkenums'

This is a distributor issue -- please report it to your glib-2.0 provider.

A full log can be found at /home/wombat/.cache/yay/proton/src/build/obj-gstreamer32/meson-logs/meson-log.txt

[wombat@endeavouros ~]$

Install the glib2-devel package (which is an optional dependency for glib2).

This is mentioned in the latest comment on the proton package’s AUR page.

Thanks. Did that. Proton is now building. It must be working, as it’s been building for over an hour. I’ll post back results once it finishes.

An excruciatingly long build process, more than 3 hours. But all is well. Much appreciated, @Stagger_Lee!
