[Solved] MPD stopped working

Hi there,

I think the problem is related to the latest release of Pipewire, especially pipewire-pulse.
Audio is working for everything, except for MPD, I don’t know how to solve this issue by myself, so I need your help please.
The music database is correctly displayed, but when I select a song it cannot be played. Yesterday everything was working flawlessly by the way. I use ncmpcpp as my client.
Which files do you need? Just tell me and I’ll provide everything.

Thanks.

I wonder if it has to do with the replacement of the pipewire-media-session with wireplumber in the recent updates?

Did you have this when you updated?

I always had wireplumber installed, never had pipewire-media-session package.

Alright.
It was just a thought that stroke me.
Not being a MPD user, I better withdraw and let other forum members more in the know in this area to assist you. Good luck!

So, I checked the dmesg and found this:

luca@eos ~ $ sudo dmesg | grep PipeWire

I decided to switch to pulse in mpd.conf and it’s working. I think it’s a bug of pipewire.
