[SOLVED] Can't update octopi

[SOLVED]
Hello everyone,
I’ve been trying to update octopi 0.16.2-2, but I keep getting the following message:

Blockquote looking for conflicting packages…
:: octopi-0.16.2-2 and alpm_octopi_utils-1.0.2-7 are in conflict. Remove alpm_octopi_utils? [y/N]
error: unresolvable package conflicts detected
error: failed to prepare transaction (conflicting dependencies)
:: octopi-0.16.2-2 and alpm_octopi_utils-1.0.2-7 are in conflict
→ error installing: [/home/grgaud/.cache/yay/octopi/octopi-0.16.2-2-x86_64.pkg.tar.zst] - exit status 1 > Blockquote

Does anyone here know how I can remedy that?

I wish you all a happy new year!

If I remember correctly got this message to , and just typed y instead of hitting the Enter key.
The worst case scenario is installing Octopi again i thought, but everything went well.

Hello keescase,
Thanks for the tip, it worked.

You are welcome and a happy new year to you to. Also please mark this thread as solved.

It’s telling you exactly what you need to do. If you say no it’s not even going to attempt to upgrade the package. :wink:

Just to clarify what happened, and why you got this message, this is the latest comment on the AUR page from the maintainer of the octopi package:

This package has been revised to bundle the alpm_octopi_utils library to prevent problems caused by rebuilding out of order.
