The opposite of this is true. You are much more likely to hit bugs the more frequently you update.
To be clear, there are other reasons you might have problems if you wait a very long time between updates but it isn’t bugs.
Yes. This is the important part. Everyone is different.
Some people love updating constantly and others report doing frequent updates is hugely stressful for them. There is nothing wrong with either approach.

I typicallly update my system every time I boot it up. This might happen 3 times per day. No big deal to update. A few times in the past it did bork the system. . . but things have gotten better I think with time. Updates keep your system rolling along pretty smoothly for the most part. To
complain about this is a moot subject. If you don’t like it move on to something else. Just my opinion.
