So you got a Gaming Laptop.. Now what?

So… I got a pretty sweet deal buying an ASUS FX505d-bq100t for 300Euros, a deal I could not pass.

But this is the first Hybrid GPU Laptop I own, and I am at a loss on a couple of subjects.

  • First and foremost I now use the default EndeavourOS setup which I believe uses the open source drivers - now active is the onboard GPU. Should I install the proprietary drivers for NVIDIA? I’m thinking of installing Steam for some casual gaming.
  • Other than OpenRGB is there a program for managing the RGB Keyboard (preferably CLI based).

Those … for now…

Damn, that’s indeed a good deal! :+1:

And yeah, I’m pretty sure you need Nvidia drivers if you wanna game on this.
