Yeah. But also the threads when someone tries to solve several issues at the same time tend to get messy and difficult to follow. The title of the topic has nothing to to do with their pacman/update or graphics card issue.
I did
Point for you.
Sorry i give up before I say anything nasty.
Not sure about that⌠Main problem was and is :
The other âfollow-upâ problems arised due to my fault (I think).
Well, you overwrote your pacman.conf file ![]()
Should I reinstall my Kernel and nvidia driver? And if so, how to do it propperly (still in Arch-chroot). Donât want to do more mistakes ![]()
Also: Thanks to everybody helped me to this point. Stil am a newb.
Sometimes it is just simpleâŚ
As I thought before, reinstalling the Nvidia proprietary driver from chroot fixed my problem. System is booting as normal.
Now the only thing left is to update my scarlett solo 4th Gen firmware (got an error days ago, but sound still worked so I ignored it for the time being).
Not sure what the problem here is. In sounds it is stated as: Scarlett Solo 4th Gen [ALSA UCM error] Pro. But as long my microphone and sound is working I will check this out on another day.
Thx again everybody for contributing. Have a nice Sunday.
Glad you have a working system again.
But isnât that what I said earlier?
Yes you did, thank you. Got dragged away with selfmade problems ![]()
One last question, so this thread can go to restâŚ
It seems I really accidentally copied /etc in my /home, can I safe delete these folders? most of them are emptyâŚ
It looks you have copied your entire root system to /home ![]()
Except your user directory, none of those directories should be in there.
Donât know what you did but this doesnât look correct.
Can you show what is under endeavouros?
Except your user directory under home, you can delete all the others. They shouldnât be there at the first place.
Thank you again. Now this thread can rest in peace.
