Ich bin MX-Linuxuser und habe Endeavour zu Testzwecken installiert.
Auf den ersten Blick gefällt mir Endeavour gut und ich überlege, permanent zu wechseln.
In MXLinux gibt es die Möglichkeit, mittels “MX-Snapshot” einen Snapshot vom gesamten System im ISO-Format erstellen zu lassen. Dieses ISO mit “BalenaEtcher” auf einen USB-Stick geflasht und man hat das gesamte System ( minus der Veränderungen ab dem Zeitpunkt der Snapshoterstellung ) parat und kann dieses im Bedarfsfall wieder installieren.
Das ein Snapshot kein Backup ist, ist mir klar.
In Endeavour habe ich eine solche Funktion nicht gefunden und meine Frage ist nun, ob es möglich ist, diese Funktion evtl. zu installieren bzw. durch andere Backupstrategien mit einem ähnlichen Komfort zu ersetzen/ergänzen.
I’m not aware of anything similar to MX-Snapshot on Arch-based systems.
The closest thing I can think of is using a backup program alongside Archiso. Archiso allows you to create a customised ISO of the apps you would like to install.
Actually, there is another option. Arco Linux has a few similar tools to Archiso — “Sofirem” and another one I can’t remember the name of.
In any case, there is a lot of manual work that needs to be done.
Generate a list of the currently installed packages" pacman -Qn and pacman-Qm
Install Archiso or Sofirem
Make a custom ISO with your preferred pre-installed packages based on the lists
