Wow, a real box for an RTX 5090! Whoever has the GPU that came with it is very fortunate given how pricey they’ve gotten. ![]()
Seriously though congrats, that’s quite an investment. Hope it exceeds every expectation.
My trusty ROG Zephyrus started getting issues with graphics (something to do power distribution) and panel showed signs of dying, especially on under strain, so got myself TUF Gaming A16 (AMD Ryzen 9 8940HX, 16 Gb DDR5, 1 Tt SSD, 16" 2.5K WQXGA 165 Hz IPS-pane, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 8 Gb GDDR7).
Came with Windows 11, tested with EOS and Ubuntu 26.04 and both run well apart from keyboards backlight, which I have not been yet able to crack. So currently run Win 11.
Have you tried installing asusctl? Worked for my ROG Strix…
Tried, but it did not work. It worked on ol’ Zephyrus and works on my wife’s older TUF but either this new machine of mine is either too new and they have not yet modules for it, or then it needed to push light once on Windows to keyboards firmware. ![]()
Going to give a another go when I have time and energy. ![]()
This arrived “today”, let’s pretend it’s still Friday here and not already Saturday. So it arrived today, not yesterday. ![]()
It’s another figure, and yes, it’s Marin Kitagawa again, but this time in a bunny costume.
And yes, the tights are made of fabric. ![]()
Note:
There’s one more “rare” figure coming this week, a smaller one, but a bit older, but then we’re done for now. (maybe)
This figure arrived today. It’s Shizuku Kuroe. She’s a fictional character from a game series (an erotic game series that doesn’t actually exist), for which there’s a cosplay by Marin Kitagawa on “My Dress-up Darling.” The figure is/was new, and the packaging has not been opened (when it arrived).
Unfortunately, this figure hasn’t been available for a while or is barely available anymore, so I ended up paying a little more than double the original price. If you do find it, it’s usually even more expensive.
The figure has 2 more faces and 2 additional poses it can display.
You can check them out here (if you want):
I treated myself to this Sharp soundbar. It’s doing quite well. just a few fine adjustments left to make. The advantage of this bar is that it has two HDMI ports for external players and an EARC HDMI. In addition, there is no WiFi or Lan installed. So no compulsion for Samsung or LG TVs.

I picked it up on eBay two days ago for almost €100 less than it is listed again today. A bargain at €349
I see at least something related to sound, and I ![]()
I had a somewhat tinny sound when I turned it on. Then I noticed the subwoofer wasn’t paired
Now it’s really booming
This bar has been tested very carefully in various comparisons.
The subwoofer is a “moody” guy
But the only sponge for washing a car is capable of “re-educating” it ![]()
