I have GRUB too.
using grub Kernel images are not on the esp itself with the systemd-setup they are .. and .. just realize /boot will nmot be the ESP on grub installs ESP is mounted under /boot/efi
What we see with
df -h /boot
will still show the size of kernel images..

seems to be the standard with older grub installs of EnOS

Depending on hardware it can be a lot bigger. The biggest offender is the nvidia drivers but that is not the only thing.
We are seeing situations where usage is close to 1GB usage with only 2 kernels installed. Some people have 3-4 kernels installed.
