Should I delete windows

Did you also know there’s the “prismlauncher” for Minecraft?

Before you delete Windows take care to reformat all drives to a Linux file system like ext4 for instance or best btrfs (alone due to the cool possibilities of taking snapshots and integration in Grub to restore your System! See Btrfs with timeshift snapshots on the grub menu).

This as NTFS3-filesystem for instance can go corrupt by time when use it under Linux and there is no proper possibility to use a linux technic like the ms-technic of chdsk to fix problems with NTFS3 formatted drives as I have the situation now, with my NTFS3-Windowslegacy-formatted drives.

I plan on wiping the windows partition clean, therefore creating 700gb of space. Then I extend my eos partition. And probably install another distribution

Maybe do this a VM, leaves that space much more available and easier to remove if its not for you

yes won, feel free to have a joke about it or 2.

Won what??

The poll, I would guess.

Still a bit confused as how you win that

It has more votes, but the poll is still open. Still, the no votes are very low!

I wonder how it would go in a Windows/microsoft forum (if they exist lol, I’ve never looked for one)

We should find one and all join it for a laugh and post endless Linux questions. :smiling_face_with_horns:

And post tips how to get a stable os :joy:

Whats stable?

My endeavour os has not ran into any problem for over a year, yeah it’s still young. But when i bought my notebook 3 years ago it came with windows 11. Since day one only issues, with drivers (nvlddmkm errors), bluetooth ports that automatically disabled it self or windows updates breaking things every f*****g month.

I upgraded my ram and nvme drives to rule issues out, almost thought my nvidia card was dead. That was not the case, Microsoft decided to push a update out for 24H2 while nvidia was not prepared for it.

With Endeavour OS everything runs great.

Yer I have had a great experience using EndeavourOS, my go to distro these days. It’s setup for what I need and I only need to spend about 15 minutes to setup the rest.

True, you don’t even need to bother for driver installations since everything is installed by default.

With windows it takes hours to get your setup completed, from audio, graphic cards, intel imei, and so on you need to do countless driver setups and countless reboots.

With endeavour os (and others) it takes minutes.

I’ve dumped windows a long time ago. . . haven’t looked back since. Best thing I’ve ever done. I’ve been distro hopping over 25 years and finally settled with EndeavourOS. If you think Bill needs your money, give it all to him. He is a pariah like all of these ‘Billionaires’ who are clueless, greedy, and obsessed with power. Even ‘goons’ who were running Microsoft after his departure said Linux was ‘evil’ and communist. Sick money grubbing capitalist f**ks.

Rich;)

How on earth can you call Steve Ballmer a goon? :winking_face_with_tongue:
