It’s a fantastic font. I’m currently using Literation Mono Nerd Font. It’s really nice as well.

Having a pretty positive Sunday & I hope all my purple friends are as well. Hanging out with my best buddy the dog :dog: right now waiting for my coffee :coffee: to get here. Already had a delicious breakfast at some restaurant called Anna’s House here in west, Michigan. It was really good. Smoking the last of my weed now. Anyway here is my desktop. I slapped an EndeavourOS logo on this wallpaper. Used someone elses fastfetch configuration. Very appreciative of those that created & maintain EndeavourOS because I love Endeavouring. :purple_heart: Oh yeah, I enjoy this widget advanced radio player in KDE particularly the Classic Vinyl HD station. It has some good tunes playing usually IMO.

Nothing but blessings and good vibes here from Michigan to all my purple family/club, TTFN guys!

:wolf:

PS: About to watch a John Wayne western :cowboy_hat_face: now with my Dad & dog. It’s gonna be good! :+1::blush::joy:

Nice setup, cohesive color palette and the unity dock/topbar combo

Today, I finally decided to rice my terminal. I’ve been using Kitty for a while now and recently switched from Neofetch to Fastfetch. I also updated my icon theme, moving from WhiteSur-dark to Vortex-Dark-icons. While I did change my wallpaper too, that hardly counts because I change it almost every week

I’ve gone full Gnomie now.
Since I started with EndeavourOS I’d pretty much always been a KDE devotee, I tried Gnome a couple of times but never really gave it a chance. Anyway, I’ve had some time on my hands over the last few months and I must say Gnome has really won me over.
Pretty standard theming with a desktop logo I made with Gimp and applied via the “Desktop Logo” extension.

Just simply switched my terminal to Ghostty & really I am enjoying it.

I looked up how to cusomtize it on the net. Orignally I was intimated by the idea of having to use code (not my thing) but it seems I got the hang of it. Luckily it is not complex like Java or anything (which I failed in college horribly lol). Just changed Ghostty to my default terminal in KDE.

LINUX IS FUN

I failed at customizing the config it just won’t accept any “pt” font size. Pick a number, it won’t accept it. I failed at using the terminal. Please send me the article you used to customize it, would love to read it. Thank you whitewolf

Boring Desktop Incoming! For some reason, I prefer minimal changes to what is installed. I still have been stuck with Arch since installing it, it just works for me and I’ve gotten less and less time to tinker… but I forever will stick with EndeavourOS forums because, well, the people here are amazing, and just about everything on this forum can be very easily “translated” to Arch if there is something I can’t figure out.

Here is the site I used to customize Ghostty:

I WOULD HONESTLY give you my config file and hope that helps you unfortunately I switched my terminal to Kitty & I uninstalled my ghostty already. Sorry I wish I could HONESTLY help you more. Just because so many people have helped me on here.

PS: I LIED I DO STILL HAVE THE CONFIGURATION FILE HERE IS WHAT I USED EXACTLY FOR GHOSTTY:

background-opacity = 0.8

font-family = "FiraCode Nerd Font"

font-size = "8"

here is another site I used though just FYI: https://ghostty.org/docs/config/reference

A site that refrences transparency: https://www.reddit.com/r/hyprland/comments/1hpqj4p/how_do_i_make_the_ghostty_terminal_transparent_im/

I hope that helps but IDK if it will. I think there may have even been more sites I looked at mostly though redddit had most the answers I was personally looking for.

Kind of makes me wonder… why is the config file still there in my computer after I removed Ghostty? I did yay -Rns ghostty I thought that removed everything? Must be wrong, what do I know. I guess it reallly doesn’t matter.

oh my brother you are honestly helping me. the webpage that the ghostty people made insisted that “pt” immediately follow the font size.
this helps immensely.
It have all these links open right now. I know it’s cool to laugh at Reddit but there is always something valuable there.
I will go back to work on my config file.

In the end you went back to kitty. and in the end I may go back to alacritty and gnome-terminal which is my comfort zone. but my ghostty internet links were not as good as yours. And

I wish I could give you the SOLVED flag but not my thread!
I really appreciate your help. I was frustrated because I could not make it work. Now I’m reloading config and NICE. Now I play some more and open a cold one.
you are above and beyond, man

I’ve made some desktop changes (nu-shell, panel colorizer for KDE, and background (though I should really have something warm and colorful and save this for July)). Not a truly big change…but hey, I thought it enough to share and see if anyone gets inspired.

It’s cold and good for nothing but movies and games inside :0 Or perhaps computer/distro tinkering.
