Taking advantage of the day to update fedora rawhide, I’m trying to make a mix of rawhide plus flatpaks to see if it works well, I’m not a fan of flatpaks, but so far almost everything went well :wink:

Need to fix neofetch and conky to fit my music info in the small box. Wrote my own color scheme for bpytop and working on zsh, XFCE4Terminal, Falkon and others color schemes.

What player are you using? Many can output to a conky… (I use Audacious)

Audacious, it is not getting the info as it is changing the font to fit and making the boxes bigger to fit the info. I am also thinking of how to use grep/awk/sed/cut to cut the track name to a certain length and then adding the remainder to the next line.

I use a scroller to handle the long stuff - the Title/Artist/Album info seen in my conky is scrolling to the left. I never found an alternative that would make sense as the info is so variable in length! If you want the code I use as an example - no problem, In fact - here’s an ‘extract’…

Conky section
###################################
###     Audacious                ##
###################################
${voffset 520}${goto 1}
${if_running audacious}${font DroidSansMono:size=12}${color4}Audacious Running${offset 8}${color6}${voffset -2}${hr 1}#
${voffset 5}${font DroidSansMono:size=12}${color2}${execi 1 ~/.config/conkywx/aud-conky-art}
${voffset 45}${if_match "${audacious_status}" != "Stopped"}${goto 8}${color3}${audacious_bar 8,435}${font}${image /tmp/cover.png -p 260,1850 -s 180x180 }${endif}
${voffset 1}${goto 3}${color5}${font DroidSansMono:size=14}${scroll 60 2 ${exec cat /tmp/trackPlaying 2> /dev/null } }#
#${voffset 1}.
${else}#
#######################################
###      Bottom picture              ##
#######################################
${image ~/.config/conkywx/pix/enOS.png -p 102,1835 -s 240x240}#
#${image /home/freebird/Pictures/UHD/xmas-ginger.jpg -p 32,1805 -s 400x280}#
${image ${template3} -p 32,1807 -s 400x2}#
${image ${template3} -p 32,2087 -s 400x2}#
${image ${template4} -p 32,1807 -s 2x280}#
${image ${template4} -p 432,1807 -s 2x280}#
${endif}#

If you have any trouble building the title/artist/album line, or want the cover art, I can post the simple C code I use to do both…

Thanks, it’s not a conky though it’s the Modern Clock widget, it let’s you change the colour of the font by picking colours from your screen so it makes the job a lot easier
