running smoothly of cause, i know how to slick the system, but yes i do see that on stuff like building the ISO it takes all the power away, but i can still watching hd movies while building the ISo so why i should produce trash and buy something better?

there are extensions for that, but i think i remember you having problem with it in another thread…speaking for myself, i dont need desktop icons (anymore). I like my desktop clean. And the META key becomes your friend. Not only can you hit META key and start typing to open an app - you can open files the same way. Typing the first letters of the filename (be it a document, mp3, movie, whatever) is enough - sure, you need to know the filename…at least somehow :laughing:

In the panel setup, if you choose AppMenu instead of Budgie Menu one can get a app menu more like Gnome. About the only difference between AppMenu and Gnome’s menu is the panes move horizontally instead of vertically.

isn’t your cpu usage rising when using picom in combination with cava on ARM?

I notice it on my odroid N2+. I think it’s because picom has to re-render the transparancy every time the bars in cava move.

It never reaches alarming levels, but I notice it nonetheless
