Nothing shows but the clock and workspace switcher and they stay on top

Application menu pops up. I just ran htop and put it over the spot with color as a worst-case scenario to see if the terminal was actually usable with transparency. It’s actually super functional, overview is mapped to the meta key and the searcher there only lists applications so I never have to fumble to remember key combos, but I can use them if I want to.

I really want a resources conky in the upper right, but it gets displayed as a window in overview mode anyone know a workaround or alternative?
