It’s time to temporarily shelf the best wallpaper ever for this one briefly. I just made this in the new gimp. Very impressive from where it used to be.

Just a temporary wallpaper for the fun of it.

Very cool. I’ve tried river once or twice now and it’s the wm I’d probably go back to if I went that way again. Awesome setup.

I would 100% not be surprised.

Tweaked Panel Colorizer and KDE Material You Colors and a new wallpaper.

EDIT: I was never a dark theme person. I usually prefer a mix. But KDE Material You Colors changed that for me. It’s not a “typical” dark theme since variations and optimizations are available.

I was using DWM on X so River was kind of a natural replacement for it, because of tag workflow. I know that the cool kids out there use Hyprland, but it really does not offer me anything.

you can undo that, you know. RUN.

What layout generator do you use?

Allowing external layout generators is a cool feature in River.

Comparing to River, Hypr development is moving faster. Besides the eye-candy stuff (not a big fan, either), if you use a mouse, Hypr provides easier ways to arrange windows/views.

I use default Rivertile. I also tried wideriver which was nice, but I stick with default because master layout is best for me.

My desktop. Bottom toolbar auto hides, I used it only as a quick launchpad.
