I want to find interesting WM setup, which will be good alternative to DE.
In pictures I seen similar WM setups, but there many insteresting like nwg-shell.
So i decided create new topic, which will be similar to https://forum.endeavouros.com/t/share-your-desktop-2026 , but only for WM users

For Spotify in terminal, here’s your package: extra/spotify-player.
One drawback is, you need to have Premium subscription to make it work.
But if you do, it’s second to none.
Do you know comething similar terminal player, which works with local audiofiles?
For local files, I personally use mpd + ncmpcpp. It might be cumbersome at the beginning, but generally it’s working fine. The documentation is fairly good and it can be widely customised.
in DE i use only one workspace(or two) for all.Why I cannot find similar in WM?

Well, I think it highly depends on whether a WM is tiling, stacking, or recently even scrolling.
In tiling WM the desktop space is divided by how many windows you have opened. If there are too many, the windows are too small and you can’t see things well.
In stacking and scrolling workflows windows are being presented one next to another by default, so they don’t cramp up too much space.
MangoWM is somewhat… hybrid? Normally it’s a tiler, but you can set some workspaces (tags) to be scrolling or even monocle[1]. An example of how it looks like you can see on my second screenshot.

I can see you’re using Plasma.
Plasma uses KWin, and KWin is a stacking WM.
As far as I know, there are some that might suit your needs.
LXDE, which you mentioned, most commonly uses Openbox and it can also be used as a standalone WM. The other stacking I know are Fluxbox (X11) and LabWC (Wayland).

Welp, this one I forgot about.
There’s also JWM, but I don’t have much experience with.
All in all, if you know what you like, just decide on one WM and build your own desktop with specific tools.
WM is not the only thing needed – after all, there’s also panel (optional), polkit, notification daemon, wallpaper manager, terminal etc.
Comparing dotfiles is a good thing, you get to know the “market” standards and how to set up your desktop.
It’s a long road, but very educational.
