Search the Old Web

Tired of bloated “modern” pages which are mostly graphics and little content?

Annoyed with snippets, one-boxes, and other rubbish which gets in the way?

Bored of the same selection of mega sites (Medium, YouTube) and want to find those niche sites the Web was established on?

Yes?

if js-free search engine is what you want-

It’s not about that - it’s about finding niche sites which are lost and routinely ignored because of SEO gaming.

For example:

http://www.stanleymotorcarriage.com/

I’d never have come across that page on DDG or Google or whatever.

Guilty… :joy:

Especially from distance it’s kinda exactly that

I don’t know why by looking at that page make me feel like my computer might get a virus :face_with_raised_eyebrow: (even on a linux). Only thing it is missing is a flashing banner that I am 1000th visitor and I won a special price.

This reminds me of 90s rumors that you can get IRL STDs from internet

I probably spent more time consuming internet content back in the days of webrings than I do now.

You can, it’s called device addiction
