Resolution scaling not persist between reboots

I have set display resolution scaling to 95% in kde but it does not persist between reboots. it reverts to 100%.

Operating System: EndeavourOS
KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.9
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.112.0
Qt Version: 5.15.11
Kernel Version: 6.1.64-1-lts (64-bit)
Graphics Platform: Wayland
Processors: 8 × Intel® Core™ i5-8250U CPU @ 1.60GHz
Memory: 7.6 GiB of RAM
Graphics Processor: Mesa Intel® UHD Graphics 620
Product Name: VivoBook S14 X430UA
System Version: 1.0

Having installed
yay -S plasma-wayland-session
and selecting Wayland during log-in

Pressing Apply there was a Keep…? question:

Yes I have this package and did as you have explained. Still the same issue.

Kernel: 6.1.71-1-lts and the same with non lts
DE: Plasma 5.27.10
I modified only the scale in Display Configuration and clicked to Keep in ‘no time’

Same settings here but issue persists.

Without logout / reboot does this 95% take effect?
Edit 2:
Still remaining in wayland try this one:

kscreen-doctor output.eDP-1.scale.0,95

This persists with me.
I cann’t guarantee anything as some scale values are confonted with the default font.
(I’m not competent. Made some tests only.)

Yes. It does.
The output of command you provided is

ajayc% kscreen-doctor output.eDP-1.scale.0,95
Initializing "/usr/lib/qt/plugins/plasma/kcms/systemsettings/" setop exec returned KScreen::Config(
KScreen::Output(1, "eDP-1", connected enabled priority 1, pos: QPoint(0,0), res: QSize(1920, 1080), modeId: "0", scale: 0.95, clone: no, rotation: KScreen::Output::None, followPreferredMode: false) )

The issue remains.

Do you apply some other programs that controls the resolution?
Check Startup and Shutdown → Autostart.
From scratch install a new system to a USB pendrive or beside your system.

No, there is no other program to control resolution.

I have manjaro KDE installed on another partition and it works fine with reboot.

Something suggests that Endeavouros-Galileo-11-2023.iso would also work in wayland.
(Just out of curiosity I’ve tested Solus Plasma 4.5. This scaling works out of the box
but grub compatibility is not easy to solve + eopkg is something different.)

I found that I had disabled ‘kscrren2’ background service in ‘Startup and Shutdown’ thinking why do i need it.
I enabled it and dpl scaling seems to persist between reboot.

I do not know if this was the reason for it not working or may be some update applied today helped overcome this issue.
Anyway Thanks.
