Repo Change

I have done the repo changes as part of the the Artemis Nova update. However it states that the Boot should show endeavouros linux, with linux linux, mine still shows endeavouros, on linux. I have doublechecked pacman.config to see if the repos are in the correct order, which they are. I have also checked that eos-hooks is on version 1.8.1. I am still receiving updates however is there something that I have missed.

That change is tied to removing the package grub-tools, grub getting an update and grub-mkconfig being run.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply. I have doublechecked that grub-tools is not installed and reran grub-mkconfig, There was no change. Show it change right away after a reboot.

Did you also reinstall the package grub? You need to do that after removing grub-tools but before running grub-mkconfig

Hi

Are you saying I need to run grub-install followed by grub-mkconfig
Regards,

Hi,
I reran sudo pacman -S grub despite it being up-to-date. I reran grub-mkconfig. No change on boot screen.

Can you share the contents of /boot/grub/grub.cfg

Please see below as requested.

How are you running grub-mkconfig?

I am running it as sudo grub-mkconfig

That just dumps the config to the screen.

You need:

sudo grub-mkconfig -o /boot/grub/grub.cfg

I have run this also. Do I need to run anything before it.

Many thanks dalto. I reran it again and it has updated this time.
