Remove YouTube Shorts From Your YouTube Feed

I hate YouTube shorts.

Thankfully, there are Chrome (and Chrome-based) and Firefox (and Firefox-based) browser extensions to handle the elimination of shorts from your YouTube feeds. Working well in my LibreWolf and Brave Origin browsers.

Search for Remove YouTube Shorts in the Chrome Web Store or Firefox Browser Add-Ons.

Me too, I might have to check out this because I used to hate it being on one area but now there are multiple sections as I scroll down.

I installed the extensions on LibreWolf and Brave Origin. I see NO SHORTS at all. It works great!

Awesome, I’m just trying to get my data topped up now so I can update then I will be adding this.

I can recommend Unhook, lets you choose to block many YT features (also recommendations, comments, notifications…) and ofc Shorts as well.

tbh i dont really get the hate with yt shorts… i just see them as,.. short videos? like where the creator himself doesnt see a reason to make a lengthy video about a topic that can be handled in about 1 minute or so?
i really enjoy SimulaVerse for space simulations or ZTT for computer stuff and a couple fun ones.

The one thing I REALLY dont like is whatever that is…

YouTube Shorts are just a copy of Instagram/Facebook Reels. And nowadays, most of the YouTube shorts are nothing more than A.I. Slop.

Yer I hate the playables too, I go to youtube to watch videos not play games.

well, you need to find the one that dont put the Ai slop into the shorts, but now i get really good stuff in there.. since im not active on neither facebook or instagram i just use this for the most part, as yt really give me value :man_shrugging:
(well yes i use instagram but that is just band stuff for updates)=

I wanted to recommend this myself. Genuinely useful little extension whenever internet’s churn is getting too annoying.

Depends… a lot of creators that only make Shorts are pretty nice. JapanEat, for example. Yeah, it’s a different style of content. It is very brainrotted at times, etc, but sometimes it’s nice to shut brain off.

Unhook is really good, but how do you get the configuration menu to open?

Edit - working after re-install

I use Clean YouTube, blocks everything I don’t want: shorts, playables, related videos, autoplay.
