eos\_nvidia\_open.conf leads to early loading of nvidia drivers, which breaks hibernation. The solution to restore it is found in this excellent [post](https://forum.endeavouros.com/t/hibernate-is-not-working-since-3-weeks/75706/51#p-766671-endeavouros-hibernation-rpare-avec-dracut-et-nvidia-1). Besides removing nvidia drivers early loading, the author suggests to actively prevent the early loading of the driver by actually omitting them, I would suggest this to be added in the eos-defaults.conf file or any other file.

I can confirm that nvidia drivers are still loaded and functionnal and that prime offload works in this setup.

We early load all GPU drivers by default. At least in our limited sample, it seems to provide the best results across various configs.

That being said, there is likely not a config that works for all people so some people will likely need to make changes.

In this case, there is no harm in removing that file. It isn’t part of a package, it is created by `eos-hwtool` so it won’t come back on it’s own unless you explicitly re-run `eos-hwtool` and reinstall a profile.

I get that, to be fair, tweaking around isn’t that hard, so long as people know what to do.
