Reboot Hangs for 2 minutes on Gnome

Rebooting on Gnome hangs on a black screen with a blinking cursor for 2 minutes, and then finally reboots. I did some searching and found some posts with the same thing involving systemd.

I see many posts that it should be solved by adding Slice=.slice in /usr/lib/systemd/user/gnome-session-restart-dbus.service but when i went to edit that file, it already had that line.

[Service] Type=notify ExecStart=/usr/lib/gnome-session-ctl --restart-dbus Slice=-.slice

Any other ideas?

Sounds like something is failing to terminate gracefully and is being killed.

Check your journal and watch for boot message output.
