Random Slowdowns in GTAV

Hey all,

First post here, so please excuse any etiquette not being followed.

I am facing random slowdowns or Lag Spikes as it is referred to in a few other forums. To brief it; I reach satisfying frame rates, around 70-90, and then, there are abrupt and erratic FPS drops that last for a few seconds. This makes the experience choppy.

Some info about the system: Meets the system requirements for the game, using Xfce, running Custom Proton - Glorious Eggroll 7.0rc6, have the latest Vulkan and DXVK necessities.

I am new user not just to the forum but to the OS as well, so I hope you know what to expect.

What are your specs and what video drivers are you running? Do you have the rockstar store version or steam?
