- you should update your UEFI motherboard
- you can add lm\_sensors ( choose only uppercase value Y/n or y/N )

```auto
sudo pacman - S lm_sensors
sudo sensors-detect
sensors
cpupower frequency-info
sudo journalctl -b0 -p err
```

That is a misconception, the BIOS of your machine is most likely in its earliest revision when the system has been sold.

Updating the BIOS will not result in a worse performance, it’s most likely that I will function more reliably after upgrading it to the latest BIOS. And that critical system vulnerabilities might be fixed that way.

It’s a Broadwell chip and it does support PCID as well as INVPCID instruction sets, that [would reduce](https://github.com/nsacyber/Hardware-and-Firmware-Security-Guidance/blob/master/guidance/Performance.md#the-effect-of-process-context-identifiers-on-performance) the performance penalty for the Spectre as well as Meltdown mitigations.

Additionally, the performance hit on windows systems didn’t translate directly to linux, as only specific workloads has been affected.

“Smooth gaming” is not a realistic expectation with these..

- **Intel Pentium Processor 3825U** - An entry-level, ultra-low-voltage mobile CPU launched by Intel in Q1 2015 based on the 5th generation Broadwell architecture.
- **Intel Broadwell-U GT1 [HD Graphics]** - An integrated graphics processor released by Intel in Q1 2015 based on the Generation 8.0 architecture
- **RAM** - 4 GiB available: 3.73 GiB used: 1.58 GiB (42.2%)
