I recently install R studio using the package rstudio-desktop-bin, which has a bad performance on my machine. For example, when I select files in the ‘Files’ tab or ‘Git’ tab, it shows the tick really slow, and when I right click it shows black box like this
and goes normal soon if I move my mouse onto it. And the app sometimes blinks or flickers.
System info:
latest EndeavourOS;
CPU: 11th Gen Intel i7-11700K (16) @ 4.900GHz
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti
EDIT:
This issue does not appear on my laptop, which has same latest EndeavourOS but different hard ware:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 6900HS with Radeon Graphics (16)
GPU: AMD ATI Radeon 680M
Which DE do you use?
X or Wayland?
On this machine with problems where you have 3080 Ti, do you use proprietary Nvidia driver?
You can just give inxi -Faz
command

I am using KDE wayland
Try with X11 to see if it fixes that issue, i have a feeling it’s connected

Just tested, in X11 this issue does not exist anymore … so it is related to wayland.
but my amd laptop also use wayland, exactly same distro, it doesn’t have this problem, could this be a problem caused jointly by Nvidia and kde wayland?

Very possible, try to report it to KDE bugtracker
