Qtile seems to be using a dissolve type of animation when I switch groups. Is there any way to disable it?
On Ubuntu Gnome switching workspaces was so snappy (once animations are disabled ) I could probably do 5 changes in 1 second. In Qtile I can probably complete 2 in 1 second.

Qtile itself doesn’t use animations. Check your compositor config I assume it’s picom?
