Pulseeffects sometimes mutes microphone

When I try to use pulseeffects effect on the microphone, it sometimes results in muted mic-audio.
Somtimes, a restart or a reboot solves the problem. I am under the impression, that I do something that breaks it and fixes it. Like it’s working for a week, and then not working for a week, etc. However, I have no clue, what it is.
I think, the problem is, that pulseeffects source somehow doesn’t generate audio.
journalctl:

Eingabe-/Ausgabefehler is I/O-Error

I found a workaround that temporarily fixes the issue.

  1. Start pulseeffects
  2. Start an application that uses the microphone
  3. systemctl --user restart pipewire
  4. restart the application that uses the microphone

Edit: I was wrong. It does not work. The audio was actually not routed through pulseeffects, even though it claimed it was.

Pulseeffects-legacy, good until they fix all the issues. :slightly_smiling_face: :upside_down_face:
